Hearing aids purchased from Absolute Hearing Care come with a 2 year warranty as standard. Extended warranties are available upon request. For hearing instruments purchased elsewhere, or for those outside the guarantee period, a repair service is available.
Regular servicing is vital for reliable hearing instrument performance and we strongly advise that this is done every 6 months. We can clean aids, replace tubing, receivers and wax filters in house.
Hearing instruments have to cope with everything from moisture, heat, perspiration to earwax and hair care products. To keep them in good condition, follow the guidelines below:
- Always keep your instruments clean and dry
- To preserve battery when not in use, open the battery compartment.
- Make a habit of cleaning your hearing instrument every day, using hearing aid cleaner, dry cloth and brush
- Use a drying pot with silica crystals overnight to remove any moisture from the instrument
- Remove instruments from ears before bathing, swimming or showering.
- Have tubing and filters changed regularly
