Examination of Outer Ear and Ear Drum (Tympanic Membrane)

This examination enables the Hearing Aid Audiologist to check the health of the outer ear, ear canal and ear drum. It is a further opportunity to ensure that there is no physical reason for a deterioration in your hearing.

The Hearing Test

A puretone hearing test is undertaken using the latest audiometric techniques available. The hearing test takes approximately twenty five minutes to complete and involves you listening to a series of sounds.

Explanation of Results

The results are recorded as an audiogram,  which is a chart of your individual hearing graph. Further speech testing may be carried out if necessary. We will fully explain your hearing test results and discuss options and hearing solutions.

Recommending a Hearing Solution where appropriate we will recommend to you a hearing solution that most closely matches your hearing prescription, lifestyle and aesthetic requirements, as well as your budget.
